“Bolt” Becomes Official Mobility Partner of the World Judo Championships

“Bolt” has become the official mobility partner of the Baku 2026 World Judo Championships, which will take place at the National Gymnastics Arena from 4 to 11 October.

The collaboration, launched in connection with the World Championships, lays the foundation for a long-term partnership between “Bolt” and the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (AJF).

As part of the partnership, mobility solutions will be provided to make travel around the city more convenient for participants, guests and fans. During the competition, users attending the event will be able to benefit from a 25% discount on rides booked through the “Bolt” app. Details on how to use the discount will be announced ahead of the Championships.

At the same time, the “Bolt for Business” solution will enable organizers and partners to manage business travel through a single platform. The solution is designed to improve transport coordination and reduce the need for private car use.

Salman Babazade, Head of “Bolt for Business” in Azerbaijan, commented on the partnership:

“Hosting the World Judo Championships in Baku is a major sporting event for our country. As the official mobility partner, our aim is to make travel around the city more convenient for participants, guests and fans. Through ‘Bolt for Business’, we will also support the more efficient management of organizational travel.”

Rashad Rasullu, Executive Vice President of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, emphasized the importance of the partnership in the organization of the World Championships:

“The World Championships in Baku will bring together a large number of athletes, delegations and fans. Efficient mobility is one of the key considerations when organizing an event of this scale. We believe that our cooperation with ‘Bolt’ will contribute both to the convenience of participants and guests and to the smoother coordination of organizational processes. We also welcome the prospect of continuing this cooperation beyond the World Championships and developing it into a long-term partnership.”

The individual competitions at the Baku 2026 World Judo Championships will take place at the National Gymnastics Arena from 4 to 10 October, followed by the mixed team event on 11 October. A total of 640 judoka from 97 countries are expected to compete.
