Rashid Mammadaliyev Claims Gold, Vusal Galandarzade Bronze at Budapest Grand Slam
Azerbaijani judoka won one gold and one bronze medal on the second day of the Budapest Grand Slam.
Competing in the -73 kg category, Rashid Mammadaliyev defeated Sweden’s Narek Vardanyan in the final to take the top spot on the podium. This marked Mammadaliyev’s first gold medal on the World Judo Tour.
In the -81 kg category, Vusal Galandarzade defeated Slovenia’s Nace Herkovic in the bronze medal contest to secure third place.
