Azerbaijani Adaptive Judoka to Compete at Special Olympics Open Judo Tournament
The Special Olympics Open Judo Tournament will take place in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, from 25 to 26 September.
Members of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation’s adaptive judo group — Adila Niftaliyeva, Sadiq Nazirov and Yusif Nasirli — will compete at the international event. The tournament will mark the first international competition experience for all three judoka.
Adaptive judo enables people with special needs to practise judo in accordance with their individual abilities and supports their social integration through sport.
