161 Judoka Take Part in Official Belt Grading in Lankaran

Here’s a polished English version with correct judo terminology:

On November 3, an official belt grading examination was held at the Lankaran Olympic Sports Complex under the auspices of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation.

A total of 161 judoka from the Southern region sat for the exams—according to age eligibility—across the white–yellow, yellow, orange, and green belt grades. Successful candidates were awarded the corresponding belts and certificates.

The organization of official belt gradings plays an important role in ensuring athletes’ comprehensive mastery of judo techniques and in strengthening their motivation. Belt examinations are essential for assessing and formally recognizing proficiency levels and are also required for participation in prestigious domestic competitions.
