A new judo hall has been opened at the Ganja Sports Palace. The event was attended by Executive Vice President of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (ACF) Rashad Rasullu, advisor to the ACF President Natik Baghirov, Olympic medallist and member of the ACF Executive Committee Movlud Miraliyev, World Champion and member of the ACF Executive Committee Elkhan Mammadov, as well as other officials.

The hall, equipped with tatami that meet modern standards, has a total area of 483 square metres. In addition, there are dedicated rooms for coaches and changing facilities. More than 300 athletes will be able to practice judo in this venue.

It should be noted that between 2022 and 2025, new judo halls were put into operation by the Azerbaijan Judo Federation in Ganja, Sumgayit, Gusar, Aghstafa, Zaqatala, Goranboy, Sabirabad, Baku’s Zira settlement, Aghdash, Kurdamir, Astara, Jalilabad, Tartar, Gakh, Imishli, Shabran and in the village of Mosul in Zaqatala. In addition, a total of 13,200 tatami mats have been distributed to 179 judo halls in Baku and the regions.
