A seminar for referees has been held in preparation for the national championships

A seminar for referees has been held at the National Teams Training Centre in preparation for the national championships, organized by the Referees Committee of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (ACF).

The seminar, led by ACF President’s advisor Natik Baghirov and ACF referees’ manager, IJF A-category international referee Matin Rahimli, began with the playing of the National Anthem.

At the event, the participants were first reminded of the referees’ code of conduct. Afterwards, detailed discussions were held on the differences between yuko and waza-ari scores, “false attacks”, as well as on when a penalty (shido) should be given for stepping out of the tatami.
