On 15 December, a seminar was organized at the Azerbaijan Judo Federation for the coaches of the national teams and representatives of the country’s leading judo clubs. The training covered topics related to protecting athletes’ health, injury prevention and performance enhancement.

The module on rehabilitation and sports taping was delivered by physiotherapist Morgane Selles, who has extensive international experience. During the session, participants were provided with practical knowledge on the most common judo injuries, their causes, stages of rehabilitation, the safe return of athletes to training and competition, as well as the correct application of taping and kinesio taping.

The module on stretching and mobilization was led by renowned expert Taro Netzer. The training covered the role of stretching and mobilization methods in judo training, reducing injury risk, increasing range of motion, as well as correct application principles before and after training. The sessions consisted of both theoretical and practical parts.

The main objective of the training was to strengthen the coaches’ knowledge in sports medicine and rehabilitation, and to ensure that they work with athletes in a safer and more science-based manner. The Azerbaijan Judo Federation continues to prioritize the continuous development of coaches and their access to knowledge in line with international standards.
