At the European Cup held in France, our national junior team waved our flag 9 times

On April 23-24, 2022, the Junior European Cup tournament was held in Strasbourg, France. 374 athletes from 20 countries took part in the competitions. In the tournament, in which 18 members of our youth national team were represented, in total, our athletes won 9 medals, including 1 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze. The first day of the competition - 50 kg. Our judokas Khalig Mammadov won bronze over Elyas Kpadonou, while Mahammad Mamishov won bronze over Thiago Talona. Our athlete Mahammad Musayev, fighting in the weight class, met French judoka Dicob Zacharie in the final match, and as a result of the match, our athlete won a silver medal. Fighting in the same weight class, Sahin Oruczade won the bronze medal by beating the Portuguese judoka Gonzalo Lampreya.-60 kg. Our athlete Nizami Imranov, who competed in the weight class, won the gold medal after defeating the French athlete Dayyan Boulemtafes.-66 kg. Our athlete Abil Yusubov, who competed in the weight class, won the bronze medal after defeating his German opponent, Adam Toszegi. Our athlete Nijat Nagiyev, competing in the same weight class, met French athlete Kilian Noel in the final match, as a result, our athlete won the silver medal. On the second day of the competition -73 kg. Our judoka Ali Hajizade, who competes in the same weight category, met with the British judoka Luke Davies in the final match, and as a result of the match, our athlete won a silver medal. Nahid Targuliyev, who competed in the same weight category, won the bronze medal after defeating Simon Muresan, the representative of Romania. among others, he finished in second place.
