Certificate Ceremony Held for Participants of IJF Academy’s 150th Judo Coaching Programme
A certificate presentation ceremony was held for participants of the International Judo Federation (IJF) Academy’s 150th Judo Coaching Programme.
The event was attended by Elnur Mammadov, Head of the Sports Department at the Ministry of Youth and Sports; Jeyhun Rahmanov, Director of the International Programmes Department at the National Olympic Committee; Rashad Rasulov, Executive Vice President of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (AJF); Natiq Baghirov, Advisor to the AJF President; and representatives of the IJF Academy.
Opening the ceremony, Rashad Rasulov thanked IJF President Marius Vizer, the IJF Academy leadership, as well as local partners and experts for their support in delivering the programme in Azerbaijan. He emphasized that coach development and educational programmes are among the key priorities of the AJF’s development strategy and wished the participants success in their upcoming examinations.
In their remarks, Elnur Mammadov and Jeyhun Rahmanov highlighted the importance of international educational programmes in developing professional coaches. They noted that such initiatives contribute to enhancing the knowledge and experience of local specialists and promoting the implementation of modern approaches in judo.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, certificates of participation were presented to the coaches.
Held in Azerbaijan for the sixth time, the programme was supported by the International Olympic Committee’s Olympic Solidarity and the Ministry of Youth and Sports and jointly organized by the National Olympic Committee and the Azerbaijan Judo Federation. A total of 62 participants from Azerbaijan, India, Tajikistan, Djibouti, the Netherlands, Finland, the United States and Russia took part in the programme.
