Educational Session Held for Azerbaijan’s Cadet Girls’ National Team
An educational meeting was held with members of the cadet girls’ national judo team. The meeting was attended by International Judo Federation Anti-Doping Coordinator Andrea Ember and information security expert Tamas Vass.
The main purpose of the event was to raise awareness among the young athletes about anti-doping rules, the principles of fair play and the importance of clean sport. In her speech, Andrea Ember emphasized that success in sport is based not only on physical preparation, but also on honesty and responsibility.
She noted that staying away from doping is the personal responsibility of every athlete and that developing the right knowledge from an early age is of great importance in this area. Ember also stressed that compliance with anti-doping rules applied at the international level is essential for protecting and advancing athletes’ careers.
During the meeting, the athletes received detailed information about anti-doping procedures, prohibited substances and the testing process, and had their questions answered.
