In 2025, nearly 6,000 tatami mats were delivered to 80 judo halls

One of the main areas of activity of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (ACF) is the development of judo in the regions, as well as the gradual strengthening of sports infrastructure.

For this purpose, during the past year a total of up to 6,000 Taishan tatami mats were delivered to 80 judo halls across the country.

It should be noted that since 2022, as part of a large-scale support programme covering Baku and the regions, the Federation has distributed a total of 13,200 tatami mats to 179 judo halls.

In parallel with this, between 2022 and 2025 the ACF has put new judo halls into operation in Ganja, Sumgayit, Gusar, Aghstafa, Zaqatala, Goranboy, Sabirabad, the village of Agali in Zangilan district, Baku’s Zira settlement, Aghdash, Kurdamir, Astara, Jalilabad, Tartar, Gakh, Imishli, Shabran and the village of Mosul in Zaqatala.
