On May 10-15, 2022, the International Judo Federation (BCF) held a seminar for referees and an exam for the title of "A" category international referee (the highest refereeing rank in the sport of judo) in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The seminar and examination with the participation of 13 countries was conducted by Florin Laskau, Director of Referees of BCF and members of the Referees Commission. Matin Rahimli, the judge manager of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (ACF) also participated in the seminar and exam. During the first two days, the participants were introduced to numerous video materials as visual aids for the judges to manage the competitions accurately and efficiently. On May 12, the judges took an exam on the theoretical part of the training. Later, the participants of the seminar managed the matches at the Asian Cup competitions for teenagers and young people held in Alma-Ata on May 13-15. Let's note that the last time the representative of Azerbaijan was awarded the "A" category referee license in 2014. Thus, it is the first time after 8 years that the representative of Azerbaijan won the highest refereeing degree in the sport of judo. will continue its systematic and consistent activities in the direction of reproduction.
