New Judo Hall Opens at Yevlakh Olympic Sports Complex

A new judo hall has been put into operation at the Yevlakh Olympic Sports Complex, which was inaugurated in September last year with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev.

The opening ceremony was attended by Azad Gozalov, Head of the Central Aran Regional Youth and Sports Department, Javad Javadov, representative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Natiq Baghirov, adviser to the President of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, and other officials.

Established with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the hall is equipped with tatami mats meeting modern standards. The facility, with a total area of 200 square metres, provides suitable conditions for up to 200 people to practice judo. Changing rooms and other auxiliary facilities are also available for athletes.

It should be noted that in recent years, the Azerbaijan Judo Federation has been consistently implementing projects aimed at opening new judo halls across various regions of the country, as well as strengthening the existing sports infrastructure.
