Seventeen Judoka to Represent Azerbaijan at Qingdao Grand Prix

According to the International Judo Federation calendar, the Qingdao Grand Prix will take place in Qingdao, China, from 26 to 28 June.

Seventeen Azerbaijani judoka (11 men and 6 women) will compete across 10 weight categories at the event, which offers qualification points for the Los Angeles Olympic Games.

The team will be led by men's head coach Richard Trautmann, senior coaches Elchin Ismayilov and Robert Krawczyk, women's head coach Amina Abdellatif and senior coach Sasha Herkenrath-Wymar.

A total of 502 judoka (267 men and 235 women) from 58 countries will compete over the three-day tournament.

Nazim Umbayev, a member of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation Refereeing Commission and an IJF A-category international referee, will also officiate at the World Tour event.

It should be noted that Zelim Kotsoiev (-100 kg) and Madina Kaisinova (+78 kg) will miss the tournament due to injury.
