Sofia the second day...

Sofia the second day...

The European Championships in Sofia on Saturday were marked by intense and competitive moments. The tournament brought together all the leading athletes. According to the latest article of the European Judo Union (EJU), on the second day of the tournament, a "trap" was prepared for the favorites competing in the -73 kg category. Everyone had the same goal - to reach the finals and get a gold medal...-athletes competing in the 73 kg weight class, Lasha Shavdatushvili, Tohar Butbul, Viktor Sterpu, Fabio Basili and our compatriot Rustam Orujov could not avoid this "trap". A fierce fight for the gold medal had begun... According to the author, only one athlete did not fall into the "trap". He was the Azerbaijani athlete Hidayat Heydarov. With great determination, Hidayat was able to advance to the finals, where Italian Giovanni Esposito was waiting for him. In the final, there were no less obstacles in front of our athlete - two penalties. Maybe many would have given up on winning if they were in his position, but he didn't. Because Heydarov did not bother to surrender. He overcame all obstacles and did not take a single step back. He attacked and won the gold medal. Hidayat Heydarov's performance at the European Championship was met with great fanfare both in our country and in the international arena.
