The “Judo in Schools” project is being continued in Baku schools. Within the joint initiative of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation and the Agency for Preschool and General Education, judo sessions are held for 4th–6th grade students as part of physical education classes.

The project is also being implemented at Secondary School No. 300 named after Vugar Avezov in Baku’s Binagadi district. The training programme is aimed at teaching students the basic principles of judo, safe falling skills through ukemi, and fundamental movement elements. The classes are delivered by internationally certified coach Fuad Abbasli.

Students who complete the course will receive certificates. In addition, parents and students will be provided with information about judo clubs in the surrounding area, as well as convenient registration opportunities to join trial sessions and start practicing the sport. The project aims to enhance safety in everyday life (by reducing the risk of injuries caused by falls and slips), develop social skills, foster an early interest in judo among children and increase mass participation in the sport.
