Ulaanbaatar Grand Slam Draw Sets Azerbaijan's Opening Opponents

On 18 June, the draw ceremony for the Ulaanbaatar Grand Slam was held in the capital of Mongolia. Following the draw, the opening opponents of the Azerbaijani judoka were determined.

Azerbaijan will be represented by 17 judoka (12 men and 5 women) across 12 weight categories at the first event awarding qualification points for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. A total of 454 athletes from 58 countries will compete.

During the Ulaanbaatar Grand Slam, taking place from 19 to 21 June, the opening day's preliminary rounds will begin at 05:30, while the final block will start at 13:00. All contests will be broadcast live on JudoTV and CBC Sport.
