European Cup among cadets to be held in Guba

For the third time, Azerbaijan will host the European Cup tournament in judo among cadets. The competition, included in the official calendar of the European Judo Union (EJU), will take place on May 3-4, 2025, at the Guba Olympic Sports Complex.

The Executive Vice President of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, Rashad Rasulov, stated that the country has gained extensive experience in organizing international judo tournaments:

"The European Cup for cadets, which has already become a tradition, will be held in a different region this time – in Guba. Previously, similar tournaments were hosted twice in Goygol. The main goal of organizing these competitions is not only to enhance the international competition experience of our young athletes but also to promote the mass development of judo in various regions of our country".

It should be noted that following the tournament, an international training camp for cadet judokas will be held in Guba from May 5 to 7.
