Preparations for the European Championships are ongoing
The Azerbaijani senior national judo team continues its preparations for the upcoming European Championships to be held in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro.
The training camp is currently underway at the National Teams’ Training Center, with participation from members of the Italian national team and judokas from Kazakhstan. Among the Italian athletes are two-time World Championship silver medallist and European Champion Manuel Lombardo, World silver medallist Christian Parlati, and Grand Slam medallists Giovanni and Antonio Esposito.
The next stage of the Azerbaijani team’s preparation will take place at the Olympic Training Camp in Tata, Hungary, from April 7 to 12.
It should be noted that the European Championships will be held from April 23 to 27. Azerbaijan will be represented by 9 male and 7 female judokas at the event.
