The last spot on our European Championships roster has been filled.
Murad Fatiyev will represent Azerbaijan in the -90 kg weight category at the European Championships, which will be held in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro.
Our judoka secured his place by winning the gold medal at the European Cup held recently in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan will be represented by 16 judokas (9 men and 7 women) across 12 weight categories at the continental tournament, scheduled for April 23–27. For the first time in history, Azerbaijan will also take part in the mixed team event at the senior European Championships.
