Three More Medals for Azerbaijan at EYOF

At the 18th Summer European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, three more members of the Azerbaijani judo team have reached the podium.

Nurana Hacizade (-48 kg) and Zeyd Alasgarov (-60 kg) each claimed silver medals. In the -52 kg category, Aysun Mammadova secured the bronze medal by defeating France’s Alice Lopez with an ippon in the third-place match.

On the first day of the competition, Gulshan Huseynova (-44 kg), Rza Khalilli (-50 kg), and Rasul Alizade (-55 kg) each captured gold medals after winning all their matches.

With a total of 6 medals—3 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze—Azerbaijan continues to lead the overall team standings.
